More tickets going on sale for Cricket World Cup 2024 in NY, as resale prices reach nearly $15,000.
Cricket fans in the metro area will have the chance to purchase tickets for ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 matches which were previously unavailable. These matches will be held in New York in June. It’s a great opportunity for cricket enthusiasts to witness the first World Cup cricket matches ever in the United States. Some matches have been listed for over $11,000 on ticket resale sites, so this will be a relief for fans who were worried about the high prices.
More T20 Cricket World Cup tickets
Tickets for the India vs. Ireland match on June 5 and the USA vs. India match on June 12 will be available to the public starting at 10 a.m. on the website set up for T20 World Cup tickets. Those matches will be held at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in East Meadow, Long Island, the 34,000-set venue currently under construction.

Tickets for 51 cricket matches in the United States and West Indies will be available for purchase on Tuesday for the June 1-29 tournament. Eight of the 55 matches will be played on Long Island, with the finals set to take place in Barbados on June 29. The prices for standard-level tickets for India vs. Ireland and USA vs. India matches are expected to range from $60 to $70, while premium-level seats may cost as much as $200.
T20 World Cup schedule
Twenty teams will compete in the month-long tournament, showcasing the second-most-watched sport in the world, with a global estimated fan base of 2.5 billion people, according to the 2023 World Atlas. That compares to an estimated 3.5 billion for soccer.
The World Cup cricket participants will include 2022 T20 champion England, 2022 runner-up Pakistan, and powerhouses Australia, India and New Zealand. The USA and West Indies national teams will also participate since they are the hosts.
According to the ICC, over 3 million ticket applications were received during the initial application period in early February before the general sale began on Feb. 22. Four matches have already sold out: the June 1 opener featuring the USA vs. Canada, the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan on June 9, India vs. Canada on June 15, and the final in Barbados on June 29.
Along with match tickets, fans on Tuesday can choose from a range of premium private suites and individual food and beverage packages for all the matches at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium and venues across the West Indies.
