Lionel Messi will not participate in Argentina’s upcoming friendly games against El Salvador and Costa Rica in the United States, due to a hamstring injury. The Argentina Football Association (AFA) announced his absence from these matches in a statement.

The winner of the Ballon d’Or eight times, Lionel Messi, will not be available for Argentina’s matches against El Salvador in Philadelphia this Friday and against Costa Rica in Los Angeles on March 26.
