Gary Kirsten, the head coach of the Pakistan men’s team for white-ball cricket, has arrived in Leeds to join the team for the upcoming four-match T20I series against England.
He was welcomed by the team management and captain Babar Azam, and senior manager Wahab Riaz presented him with the team’s training shirt.
Gary Kristen is one of the most successful white ball coaches in the world. The former South African left-hander had won the World Cup for India in 2011 as their head coach.
The Pakistan team will practice from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM local time on May 20. The final training session before the first T20I will be held on Tuesday from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The first T20I between Pakistan and England will be played at Headingley in Leeds on May 22.
The T20I series will play a huge role in the preparation setup of both countries for the upcoming ICC Men’s T20I World Cup in June.
Pakistan are in Group A of the World Cup alongside arch-rivals India, Ireland, Canada and the USA. Meanwhile, England are slotted in Group B with Australia, Namibia, Scotland and Oman.
